I might as well put this up here because it's definitely a problem in our realm.

I'll first start by listing the ones that are completely useless and need some serious looking into.

==Thanes==

"Static Tempest Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Ground-targetted radius cloud spell that lasts 30 seconds. Every 7 seconds anyone near the object representing the center of the cloud is stunned for 3 seconds."

This Ra being on the stun immunity timer hence worthless cost 14 points.

==Spiritmasters==

"Whip of Encouragement Active 30 min. 6 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Your pet moves at twice normal speed for 60 seconds."

Another useless one because the pets speed breaks once he's engaged.

==Skalds==

"Fury of the Gods Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A A group damage-add spell that lasts for 30 seconds and stacks on top of other damage-add effects. This ability is percent-based, so its damage goes up with the user's level. Does not stack with Triple Wield or Rain of Fire/Ice/Annihilation."

Another 14 point Ra that skalds won't invest in. Hypethetically speaking lets say the groups just got out of a big battle and everyone has purge down. Another group attacks and the skald hits this Ra, the group gets either stunned or mezed which we all know last a lot longer then 30 seconds on average. The Ra is wasted, and offers nothing to the group like for example Bof or Baod, which would increase the groups chances of living, with higher resist or be it lower dmg from melee.

==Runemasters==

"Rune of Decimation Active 15 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Trap that damages any opponents nearby when they approach. Casts at casters feet. Every few seconds the trap looks for a target in its area. When it finds one, it triggers the radius direct damage spell on that target, which will damage the target as well as all other enemies in its area of effect. The trap will stay on the ground for 8 minutes before it disappears."

Not a totally useless ra but far from worth investing 14 Ra points in for something that you can only use 15 mins and does 400 to 500 dmg.

==Healers==

"Perfect Recovery Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A After death, you will resurrect with full hitpoints and power and no resurrection side-effects."

Again not a totally useless Ra if it couldn't be overwritten by a ghetto res. I believe this one as well isn't worth 14 points. Pricey spend for something that only benefits the person you use PR on that could possibly be overwritten.

==Warriors==

"Grapple Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 Trip 1 Point-blank radius root that immobilizes the movement of all enemies in the area for 12 seconds."

I can't say I've seen a warrior with this, but if its anything like our other RA's its more then likely on the immunity timer as well. 14 points for 12 seconds, and casters can still cast while rooted as well as healing classes heal. I'd have to say this falls under the useless catagory as well.

If you look over the list that I just posted of our Ra's I'm sure thats not all of them that could take "A GOOD LOOKING AT". You also notice that of those there is only one group one.... ONE!!!! If you read over it see the point cost, and I've tested it on pendragon on a skald it doesn't add that much dmg. I believe their is another bug with it that maybe someone else can comment on because I can't remember at this time.

Now just for entertainment lets look at what we are up against with the other realms RA's.

==Cleric's Bunker of Faith==

"Bunker of Faith Active 30 min. 10 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A 30 seconds of 50% bonus to group's melee absorption, which means your group will be able to absorb much more damage than normal."

10 points for this!!!!!!! A "GROUP" Ra lasting 30 seconds that increases melee absorption for the whole group. Nice.......

==Minstrel Speed of Sound==

"Speed of Sound Active 30 min. 10 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Your group moves at twice normal speed for 30 seconds. This ability will not break in combat. This ability also bypasses the movement penalties from mesmerize, root/snare, and stun, although other effects such as inability to attack will remain."

Another 10 pointer!!!!!!! :"> So your "GROUP" moves at twice normal speed for 30 seconds and it bypasses mesmerize, root/snare, and stun. Yea enough said on that one.......

==Druids Group Purge==

"Group Purge Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A All negative effects (DOTs, poisons, mesmerization, stun, rez sickness, etc.) are purged from all group members."

Ok so not only do they get a single purge, but a "GROUP" Ra that purges all effects. Yet another nice one.........

==Enchanter Brilliant Aura of Deflection==

"Brilliant Aura of Deflection Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Your character receives a 30 second boost to all magical resistances"

So a boost in magical resistance that last 30 seconds. That we've seen screen shots taken of that can up those resist to 100%!!!!!!!! Oh yeah did I forget to mention its a "GROUP" Ra.

Anyhow, am I the only one who's see's how this is imbalanced? That the other realm get two group benefical Ra's that work to keep the group alive and the one we get adds to our damage if we not cc'd some way or another....

That and most of the "unique" ra's are our realm does have are bugged or worthless ( points to list above), or cost too damn much......

Alright done ranting would love to hear some feed back from others, so that hopefully one day we can have some descent unique ra's in Midgard.

Forgot to mention these as well that we are up against since Mid and Hib get three unique ra's that are actually worth something vs Mids one.

==Warden Thornweed Field==

"Thornweed Field Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Ground-targetted cloud spell that lasts 30 seconds. Every 5 seconds, anyone within radius of the object representing the center of the cloud takes damage and is 35% snared. The damage is percent based, and goes up with the user's level."

Not bad and we actually have one close to this though no where near as powerful IMO.


==Shaman Ichor of the Deep==

"Ichor of the Deep Active 15 min. 14 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Rradius direct damage plus root, which means that any enemy in the spell

Warrior "unique" RA: Doombringer

I tested this RA on Pendragon...it's every bit the useless RA that it's been laughed at or reviled as.

For 10 points you can use it ONCE every 10 minutes. It can be evaded, bladeturned, missed, fumbled, and even miss cause the "target is not in view !" And only does about 14 more points damage than Ragnarok.

Overpriced POS but almost all the melee class "unique" RA's share the same boat as Doombringer.

I can think of better RA's to spend 10 points on than Doombringer..or should it be Lamebringer ?

Now...Trip/Grapple ?

14 points for Grapple and has a 10 pt RA as a PREREQUISTE..Trip. Total of 24 hard earned points that a pure melee simply cannot afford due to his class low RP earning potential.

Instead of wasting 24 points on one or both of those RA's, I can achieve the same effect with a shield stun, having a friendly SB snare poison my weapon, or if I'm lucky to be a Hibernian and have access to LW, there's Annhilation.

The above comments apply to the 14 pt RA: Prevent Flight. I can't just see ANY hibs with the level 50 LW style even bothering with ANY of those RA's.

PR is a joke for 14 pts on a 30 min timer. Interesting RA that should be 10 pts on a 15 min timer.

Better would have been an AE PR or at least a PBoE PR, so you had to run into the middle of the battle to do it.

With BoF you basically have to kill the enemy 3x anyway, how is this any different? <i></i>

The shadowblade RA is complete crap..............regular run speed for 30sec every 30 minutes. The only time anyone would possibly want to use this is right after a quick kill and run, but you can't even stealth for 10sec(minimum, more if you're getting cast on or hit by anything) and by that time in most cases you're safe away anyway. Sure, it's only 10pts, but that's a full RR and there's plenty of better things to spend those pts on. You can get Mastery of Stealth I for 3pts, and Mastery of Stealth II for 6pts, which adds to 9pts, is less than Shadow Run, and you're almost as fast all the time while stealthed. With just MoS I I'm a noticably amount faster than other SBs who have the exact same lvl of stealth that I do. Infiltrators and even Nightshades(while still not great, and cost 14pts.) get RAs that are much much better than SBs.
