DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. Your Trainer asks you to talk to Captain Dillon in the guard tower close to Ludlow to start the quest. Captain Dillon asks you to look for two runaway guards, Frund and Agisthil in the North Black Mountains. This information is wrong, in fact, the two guards are still in South Black Mountain. They are located to the east of South Black Mountain after the bridge they can be found at 53899, 17267. After acquiring the stones, you will have to take them to Omis at a keep on the road before you get to Snowdania Fortress. After polishing the stone, you will be asked to rid of Brodic at East of South Black Mountain, 44k, 13k. As soon as I entered this little forest across the bridge I got the message: "The pouch holding the Crediac glows with warmth and light". It means that Brodic is somewhere around. I found him at loc 42165, 9417 Go back to Captain Dillon for your reward. In my case, Crediac started to shine at 38000,6000 and I found Brodic (yellow 11) at Loc (378,78)(406,93)... he may wander away from here, but this is his return location. i took the horse from snowdonia, and as i saw the twin towers by the BM bridge the stone started to glow. I jumped off the horse and looked to the east up a wooded hill and saw the ghostly legionnaire Brodic (at 35300 13000)

Just did this on my 12 Merc. The Bracer I got (Might) was Yellow, stats were:
Str+7
Dex+4
Hit 12
Body 1%
So I guess they upgraded it.

For all you having problems finding Brodic, I suggest you kill the red dwarf who roams exactly the same area too. I think he CAN be a placeholder for brodic, at least for me the crediac began to pulse as soon as I killed the red dwarf and I could easiliy find Brodic.

As a necromancer, i received a Flayed Skin Necklace int +4 hit +6 same stats as arawn's beads and usable only by necromancers
Found Brodic /loc 44.4k, 1.8k at 18h 51m. He's a ghostlike mob.

In my case, Crediac started to shine at 38000,6000 and I found Brodic (yellow 11) at 36000,7000.

I haven't been able to get this quest at all. My trainer spoke of it when I first hit 11. I put it off until 13, did the shadows and shades quest on the albion island, and when I went to do this quest the trainer wouldn't mention it. I went to dillon, and he wouldn't speak to me. Any thoughts? I wouldn't be too concerned with it except I know I have to do it for my level 15 quest.

If you declined the quest, you won't be offered it again. if you accepted, it should still be in your journal. If not, you're pretty much out of luck.

Howdy, I've jut completed this quest with ease with my level 11 Merc and this is how i did it.
1)Speak with Captain Dillon, at the guard tower diredt SouthEast of Ludlow.
2)Go to the Big double white, and follow the road that goes east. Behind the mountain east of the bridge, is a small Dwarf Bandit Camp. The /loc is 52k, 17k.
3)Both Agisthil and Frund are green to level 11, and when pulled come alone.
4)Take the 2 stones that appear in your bag to Omis, in Swanton Keep. the /loc is 27k, 12k
5)Return to the big white bridge. Go to the small forest directly infront of you. Brodic roams there.
6)I found Brodic at the /loc 35k, 3k at approx. 2h. He gave about 5 or 6k exp and dropped 3s and this bracer

i have been wondering around this mountain for about 2 hours and have not seen brodic or even seen this rock glow is there a certain time when he spawns or is it a night only spawn i need help if anyone knows that would be great. undercova - 38 infil

you can find the 2 dwarfs together due east of the twin towers ( north side of river)in south black mountians. there is a camp there.

i did everything perfectly..got the stones, omis turned one into the criedic or whatever,,,it glowed when i found brodic...i killed brodic, went back to dillon and he doesnt say anything. the stone didnt shatter when i killed brodic however. I got the quest from my trainer in camelot so i know its activated. anyone know why dillon wont speak to me??? in my journal it still says slay brodic..even tho i already did

OK...I just did the quest last night. I searched for around twenty minutes for this guy. He can be anywhere from the top of the hill to the river. All the posts I read had him around the top of the hill, however, for me he was about fifteen feet from the river bank (across the road). He was really close to the guards actually. I wasn't even in range to see him and the stones started glowing. So, don't worry about it if you can't find him yet. Just keep running around that area and the stones will glow when he spawns. Easy kill at 12...nothing special happened during the fight.

Most of you who posted got the quest - but what to do if my trainer doesn't give more but one quest? I've finished the first armsman quest and haven't ever recieved a new quest from my trainer. Although I've finished about 6 or 7 low lvl quests. I'm level 20 now and still got no knew quests... does anyone know what to do? Thanks for all answers :)

I think this quest may not be available to armsmen. However, you should have received your epic quest from your trainer at Level 15 (AKA The Legend of the Lake). Hope this helps.

I found him, right where he was supposed to be. i was doing this quest with a buddy(also doing the quest) and I died while he was goofing off, we went back and camped it for a full game day but he never came back...

From Ludlow, Head North across the bridge and past the twin towers. Continue going straight up the first mountain. He is at the top of the Mtn slightly to the right.

I hate to do quests an would like to see more people posting LOCs. It would mak things a little easier. I sure Brodic moves around but I found him at LOC 35k 4k. Hope this helps, Good luck.

To find brodic head north out of ludlow to the double bridge. Keep following north to the base of the mountain. Walk the mountain from the bottom left of that small hill to the top right. You should find him walking back and forth on that path.

somebody please check to see if there is a bug now. i completed this quest with my last char, and i fought brodic at levels 11 and 12 with my infiltrator (but never even came close to beating him). the problem is now im 13 and strong enough to kill him, and he's a no-show. ive camped for two straight nights, and the most that will happen is my crediac will glow no more than three times then stop. ive never even seen brodic since ive hit 13.oh bye the way, yes i do know where he spawns. that isnt the issue.

It would seem that you are allowed up to your level in bonuses. example, a level 10 avalonian cabalist with a base 95 INT can have a modified 105 int from items, same for other stats : base + lvl, of course buff spells can raise stats above that also.

I repaired the 5 str bracer, and still I get no bonus from it. Everything seems fine, but looking at my str there's no change. Seems bugged, anyone else fix this problem?

I had that problem with a bone studded bracer,until I gained another level. It seems that there are level/class based caps on how high your stats can go,and if you're at the max, you'll just have to wait a level or two for the cap to raise.

I never even got a sniff at this quest. I have completed every quest offered. I have asked every crier I see for quests. I even travel back to compacarentin forest every level to check my trainer there doesnt have different quests to the one in camelot.

I believe this quest is only available to classes that belong to the Guild of Shadows(cabalist, mercenary, infiltrator). I received a bracer(wrist slot) named Might +5 strength as a merc.
The theory is that all classes are supposed to get an 11th-level quest with a reward appropriate to your class. The fact that infiltrators don't get one (see post below) is an acknowledged bug--the current patch (1.35) should allow you to go back to your trainer, as long as you're 11+ level, and pick up the quest.
The identity of the quest you get, though, will be dependent on your class. For instance, instead of this one, Clerics and Paladins get the "List of Denial" quest, detailed elsewhere (though each class gets a different reward). The epics work in much the same fashion.

I cannot get the stone to drop for me. I killed the two guards about 100 times and they did not drop it. I am over the level now of receiving any benefit for the quest item, but I would like to finish it so it will purge from the quests in progress. Any ideas would be helpful. I have talked to everyone I am supposed to, including Captain Dillon.

It has happened but an advisor told me last night that some quests are only received from your trainer in Camelot. what that means is that if you are training in the west and not going to camelot you are missing out on quests. Don't know if its true but someone mentioned they hadn't gotten it and potentilly this is the cause.

I was given this quest at lv 11 when I went to train last night. I had to go see Captain Dillon in the tower SE of Ludlow.
I found the 2 renegade guards (dwarves) to the east after you cross the bridge from North Camelot gates. There are a bunch of dwarf bandits there also, but I was able to pull the 2 dwarves one at a time - just pick your time and be careful.
They both dropped an unworked stone.
I took the stone to the Omis in Swanton Keep and one he did not want, the other he returned as a polished stone of some sort (forgot the name). If you then give him the other stone, he says something to the effect of 'do you think me a fool? Why give me this usless stone when you already have the xxxxx stone?' blah blah blah. No big loss - I had the stones appraised before I handed them in and was not able to sell either anyway :-)
I then went in search of Brodic - he spawns on the hill north of the bridge in South Black Mtns. Just run all around the southern slopes, around the trees also at the bottom - I think he spawns there but may wander up to the top (where the Filidhs are). You will know when you are getting close because you get the message that the stone begins to glow or something.
I nailed Brodic easy with my pet (he was Yellow at lv 11). He dropped a naff girdle of some sort (about 1.4 silver to a vendor) and 1 copper - exactly one copper and the loot message makes a point of telling you that - 'Brodic drops one copper' - Cheap bastard.
Anyway, the stone shatters as you kill Brodic and then you make your way back to Dillon.

Seems everyone gets a completely different flavor of this one. I was asked to take some money from my trainer (11 silver) and buy 5 bronze war mattocks. These were to be delivered to Master Graent in Prydwen Keep.
After delivering to Master Graent, he asked me to deliver some food he supplied to Sergeant Grum, who patrols the road South from the bridge near Prydwen where Frip stands. The sergeant walks with two other named guards along the road between the bridge and some point at or past the tower to the South.
After all this, I expected to be asked to kill something, but alas, I was not. Upon my return, master Graent blessed me with my reward - an Embossed Crossbow! I thought it was really cool at first, until I realized I could not use the darn thing for another four levels!
Oh well, at least it looks cool in the bank :)

It says this quest is for all. I haven't gotten this yet as an Armsman and i'm now 13 but I check all possible places for quests every level and would not have missed it. This must be specific to certain classes. :/

When I completed this quest I reacieved a necklace
called 'Amulet of Feline Graces' with +2 Quick and +3 dex. Not bad for an Infiltrator. My Cabalist friend and guildie who ran it with me received a + int ring, not sure the pont value added though.

I recieved this quest at 11th level.
The item that the Mercs recieve is a bracer called "Might". The statement you get when you put it on is, "The Power of Might flows through you".
Although, I didn't see a change in my strength.

As mentioned above, this quest is available at 11. However, I'd advise caution when trying to solo Brodic at 11, it will likely be a very close fight, depending on what class you are.
Also, when you are in the bandit camp looking for the runaway guards, take note of the shaman that is in the camp, as she is involved in a higher level Armsman quest. You'll likely hear a number of them asking where a shaman in the Black Mountains can be found.
