DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

This is given to Naturalists at level 3. Your trainer asks you to go help out a poor creature at the pond southwest of Tir Na mBeo. She gives you a fish to try to appease him. Sabha hangs out near the pond. When you give him the fish, he decides you would make a better meal and attacks. He killed me, and when I returned next level and killed him, I only got some experience, so I don't know if there is a reward if you kill him the first time.

Reward:
  Band of Woven Twigs

Got quest in Howth, but, was sent to give fish and then kill a guy behind the Tower on the way to Ardee. I guess it DOES matter what trainer u go to doesnt it?

It seems to be just a varriation of it.

I happened to find Sabha at the same time as someone else, helped him kill Sabha, and got credit. Money and Xp, no ring of couse since that's a different quest. Found Sabha on the west side of the pond.

It is not on the map that came with the game. There are a bunch of other places that are not shown on the map..is there a better map anywhere?

Thanks..lvl 5 Druid who is SO lost!

I've done the quest twice, as two diff characters. Sabha killed me the first time. However, with the second character (charasma of 70), it just left and I got xp. I also noted that the monster left (so I couldn't kill him) and it didn't re-spawn. Go figure.

i gave him the fish and the ungrateful git sayed "mmm, these will last for days, you will last even longer" and tryed to kill me. he died

Maybe I'm just dumb, or maybe the quest is messed up, but I can't find the freaking guy. I've searched all the hell over NW from tir nam beo and haven't even seen any sort of pond. This quest is gay.

I did this quest last night as a naturalist. Same as others...only coin and experience. However, I believe that this qualified me to received the Wolf Feed Quest at level 4. Upon completion of Feeding the wolves, I was then awarded the Band of Woven Twigs ring. So I think the quest is working right, but the description here needs updating. It is the level 4 quests which give you the magical items for characters.

There are also variations of this quest. I got this quest from the Naturalist trainer in Howth and he directed me to named fecan (can't remember the name) in the valley behind the guard tower between Howth and Ardagh.

I just did this quest two mins ago, and you kill Sabha, and get money and XP, that's it! I want that reward as well as all of us fellow naturalists! They need to fix this dumb bug bad.

The quest granter tells you to give Sabha the fish and tell him to leave. I made a macro stating "Sabha, please leave." Hit the macro as I gave him the fish. He grumbled a bit and left, completed quest for exp and cash, no ring though.

finished the quest got no ring.....did lvl 4 quest which involved feeding wolves and as reward got the band of woven twigs

Important note: The quest info I was given said the pond was Northwest of Tir na mBeo, but it's actually *Southwest*. Took me until 7th level to figure that one out...

Coming from the north, Mardagh is marked as Tir na mBeo and the pond is southwest of there.

Yes the pond is NW of "Tir Na mBeo", im not sure what town youre thinking of with the SW heading. Mag mell maybe? Cause its south east of tir na nog. But i also did this quest and did not get an item. Gave the fish and he said id make a nice meal and we fought. I won, got message quest completed and no item. And my inventory was empty since i just got done selling. So there may be some random aspect of the reward with this quest or i could just be broken.

That is incorrect; the pond IS northwest ot Tirna M'Beo. I just did the quest and when I gave Sabha the fish, he left.

I never got the fish, so I just killed him. I want that fish so I can do the quest right! I hate killing little faerie bogies when the violence can be averted. Especially with fish.

I took the fish to him and he agreed to leave. My log says I then gained experience but the quest did not appear to be finished in my journal and Sabha did not leave as he said he would. You just get more exp if you talk him into taking the fish, it appears you must slay him either way. And yes he whooped my arse........bring a friend to help.

I was not given a fish either when I did this quest,Sabha was easy at level 3 for me.

I would recommend doing this quest one level above when you aquire it, as it says in the info up top, I too was killed when I tried attacking Sabha at level 3.

I wasn't given a fish either, but headed to that pond anyway ... Sabha was waiting for me there, it was night but he did not attack me. I right clicked on him and he said something to the effect of "I'll never move from here !", so I killed him ... quest solved.

When I started this quest, I wasn't given a fish. Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to do this one.

I'm not positive, but I think the this was called the "Balance of Nature" quest when it was given to me.

I was at level 4 and grouped with a level 5 warden .. he attacked me and we finished him off quickly. Just exp and money.

I got Balance of Nature too, but I don't think it's the same quest. My journal says to go behind the tower on the way to Ardagh (to Howth, I think), and I have a bag of fish I can't sell - I guess it's for the quest. I tried to find this 'stubborn creature' (whose name is not mentioned in the journal), but couldn't. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure where I got the quest, so technically the tower could be one between Ardagh and Mag Mell...
# Dec 29 2001 at 4:59 PM Rating: Default
You got the quest in Howth, and behind the tower on the way to Ardagh there is a creature called Ciandra among the trees, where there are lots of fecans wandering around. It wasn't until ages later that I spotted him, so I've no idea how often he's there. If you get it in Howth then the quest is the same it's just that you need to find Ciandra rather than Sabha.

I completed the quest last night at 5th level. Before I went to Tir Na Nog to join the Druid Class I stopped off in Tir Na MBeo to complete the Sabha quest and the letter quest both of which were in Tir Na MBeo. It was night time when I handed Sabha fish and I was immediately attacked (some text message was given). Sabha was green to me so I killed it easily and I received 35 copper and some experience (no more than a quarter of a bubble at 5th).

For those who can't find the bugger, he spawns on the west shore of the pond.

The quest just gives money and Exp. about the ring that bandurin got, any mob has a chance to drop a rare loot, it just seems that he got lucky.

When I finally found Sabha, I tried offering the fish. She took the fish and then jumped me. I ended up killing her and go some exp and copper

My first try at the quest he took the fish and said he would leave as instructed. Later, I noticed the quest was still in my journal, so I assume he never left. The scum! Anyway I went back to kill him got exp and coin. He did not attack me as described above. Maybe charisma has something to do with it.

The same thing happened to me last night. Sabha took the fish and said he'd leave and never attacked me. So i checked my journal and the quest was still there, so i attacked him. He conned blue at lv 4 but woulda killed me except a high lv PC showed up and helped. Only recieved exp and copper. Maybe the quest is broken.

by the way my charisma is 72, not sure if that has to do with wether he attacks you or not

Actually, I have done this quest twice now, once in Beta, and once live. Sabha attacked me at night, and I defeated him, and got a magic ring. The other time I gave him the fish during the day, and he took the fish, and I got some experience and completed the quest. I killed him after that, to see if I could still get the ring, and all I got was some money. I think the time of day might determine whether he agroes on you or not...

I did this quest during the day and he still attacked me after I gave him the fish. I killed him but received only exp.
