when is mythic going to fix this?! This is the dumbest bug in the game. When My fossil healer gets aggro, it will start to try and "kite" around, except it doesn't care what's around. It goes through walls where I can't target it, it then goes and pulls every bit of aggro as if it is trying to do it on purpose. Always fun hunting in DF and the fossil healer gets aggro, next thing you have either 20 red mobs now after you or one big High Lord from down below.

I know what you mean, was in Spin and soloing a purp mob, got it down to 5% health  . Anyway it agroed to my healer killed it then the other healer, I couldn't help with life tap or anything because I was respawning my healers. The fact that they were going to the second lvl wasn't helping. Wound up with 9 purps and 4 reds on my commander. At least the healers can just stand there and take it like a dead man.

I've found that putting the pets on passive sometimes keeps the healer from kiting mobs around. But the bad thing is you lose out on commander melee until the mob is dead or changes agro targets.

Its amazing they haven't addressed this yet... how hard could it be to change their logic to say "don't try to run away".
Seems like either

Have you seen the ton of bugs that they have addressed regarding the Animist class?
It is my hope that once they are done with them that they take the same effort on the Bonedancer.

Once again. Cast is cast, insta is insta. You can use all your instas while casting a spell. If you're summoning a new pet, u can still LT mobs/players.

I know, but after respawning two healers my power was at 50%, must bigger difference than 100% using LT along with the dots. I hope they address this. I like my bd and pve is hard in dungeons. Without a buff bot it makes it harder. Sometimes think mythic may expect us to have buffbots

I just started a new bonedancer today and experienced this bug first hand. Woah, what a shock it was. And it was hell trying to con on the little turkey to heal him too.

a few things can help is situations like that..
first, don't go xp in dungeons or as little as possible. you lot know BD is a buggy class, why look up a place where these bugs get worse. inother words, play out in the open, much more room to do the following
release pet, QC new one
QC root on the mob that has aggroed yer pet
LT LT LT to peel the aggro
hell..even putting pets on peassive and legging it works
don't just blame the poor pet (altho he has gotten me BD killed a few times) blame the BD ... he should take care that his healerpets don't get aggro, or if they already have to get it of them asap

Do you think the intent behind the original AI for the bd'er healer pets was so that they would move out of AOE damage? I have never understood why they were designed to move about like that.

I just thought of something crazy. Perhaps this situation is what our completely useless focus snare is for? Perhaps if you use it on the mob while the healer is running away it slows him down to where the healer isn't going nuts anymore?
haven't tested it or anything and can't as I can't play now, but wouldn't that be something if suddenly that spell was usefull?
I know, it'll never happen.

I've found that most times, you can simply release the healer being hit, and that will cancel the aggro.
Commanders dont attack mobs that aggro healer pets only either (good job really)
Only works if your not using a guardian pet though, with dmg shield up on all pets you've generated aggro, and the commnder helps the guardian unless /passive.
Dungeons arent so bad once you start using the /here command, and pull mobs to the side of commander so he styles more.
Once you find a good place to park your pets in such a position they dont disappear through walls, fall off ledges etc your sorted.
I did 34-50 in varulv/spind with little problems.

Ok n00blets time to listen up.
Healer aggro is a pain in the ass but easily manageable with these few simple steps.
#1 If your are using top healers simply release either healer when they get aggro. Mobs will not aggro you as long as NO ONE has attacked them. (healers commanders or soldiers)
#2 putting pets on passive keeps them from running all over the place and will also avoid aggro , or allow you time to manage pets accordingly.
#3 alway have pets on passive when moving from camp to camp, so if they do get aggro, releasing them will be simple and you wont lose speed if they are attacked.
#4 Now heres the tricky part. While in DF i noticed that releasing healers works fine if you are using top healers.
Im 48 supp, so I use top healers all the time, HOWEVER, if any attempts to use lower level healers are used , The release healer trick DOES NOT work.
Dunno what the cut off point is with this, youll have to experiment to see , but use this simple rule... If the pet is gray to you, the release pet trick WILL NOT work
#5 This rule applies to commander getting aggro too. Which simply means, cause hes green to you , or blue, you can release as long as commander has not damaged the mob.

Are you sure you just didn't have a guardian pet up? his damage shield would have caused you to gain agro like the above poster mentioned.
I find it hard to believe that the level of pet alone has any determination on whether or not agro transfers over to you.

#1 ummm no i just posted that i had 2 highest healer pets up, there was no guardian up
#2 you can believe it or not, i have the #1 BD on merlin and have tested this throughly. Dont believe me go test it yourself youll find i am correct

yes, if u select the pet and hit release, it will release that pet and aggro will not transfer IF THAT PET was the only one to have aggro.
If an healer pet was aggroed, and the second healer pet took aggro from healing, then both pets have aggro.
Usually, release all pets and the aggro will not transfer, UNLESS YOU WERE ON THE AGGRO LIST AS WELL.

Actually no, you said that when you attempted to use lower level healer pets is when you had the problems with agro, not when you had your top two healer pets.
That is why I asked if maybe you had a guardian pet up at that ONE particular time that you had the lower level healer pet up for whatever reason.

^^^^ actually shnojob and i tested it in DF cause hes only 30somthing in supp and his healers are gray to a level 50, and sure enough when he released pets he got aggro everytime, then we tested my pets which are green to a level 50, they got aggro, i released and no aggro, then i casted gray pets and aggroed, sure enough i released pet and still had aggro everytime... so yes id say we tested it hehe

Why the hell are you asking for fixes?
You deserve to be nerfed to hell and back, you don't deserve to be working "properly"
You shouldnt GET a healing pet, or a healing pet that only heals the commander.
They need to have limited power(like the same mana an equal-level healer has at MOST)
It shouldnt give you an endless bar of life, that shouldn't be how it was intented.
Solo bd's tanking purples = wrong in all aspects, they're a [edit:ToS violation] caster class.
