Okay, I was finally able to get around to doing these, and here are the results.
I tested against the same Hero for these tests. Level 50, in epic. His AF was 635.
Blademaster:
Blunt 50 plus 11
CD 50

Mainhand: 16.2 dps, 4.2 spd, 99% qual
Off-hand: 16.5 dps, 3.0 spd, 98% qual
Berserker:

Mainhand: 16.5 dps, 14.1 spd, 98% qual
Off-hand: 16.5 dps, 2.9 spd, 98% qual
I tried to get the stats as equal as possible, but note the lower STR and higher QUI on the Berserker. Also, and I'm not sure if these affect damage in any way, but the weapon skill and weapon damage stats are also lower in the Berserker.

I threw in some Blunt styles to show the lack of difference between style bonuses for Blunt and CD styles.
So even with slightly higher str and lower qui, the Blademaster is still getting outdamaged by the Berserker for sometimes quite significant amounts. Also, there doesn't seem to be a significant difference between endurance usage for Hurricane and Doublefrost.
This was done on Pendragon, so there were no relic bonuses involved.

Most Zerks are and would have a 4.2 (16.2) in the mainhand and the 2.4 Handaxe in the offhand to further increase their haste effect.
Look at the log and notice that the time delay between swings for the Zerker is less then the delay between BM swings.

Very nice tests.
A couple of questions: you have said that most zerkers don't hit for 700, but for 3- 400, yet none of you're zerker hits exced 400, was you suprised? And where are those 700+ non- critical hits "all" zerkers have axcess to?
The most interesting styles here must be Doublefrost/ Hurricane, Solar Flare and Ravager/ Atrophy and I must say that I see no obcene disparaty here, since you could have used Flurry for an additional 180- 230 dmg with the BM every fight.
But I applaude you're testing, hope you'll get the fixes to the CD line that you want

very interesting. Especially how it seems the zerk is hitting 2seconds faster and yet is doing more style damage. Their offhand is hitting for alot less damage but added up still more than a BLUNTmaster can do.
Just imagine trying it with a pierce or blademaster. arf

Well, keep in mind that my Berserker in this test has only 215 STR. I ran other tests where I was buffed to 265 with 50 +10 LA and I was breaking 450 easily.
At some point, for fun, I can get some RA's and find someone to buff me, and see if I can break 700. But my primary interest here was to just do a comparison at any level. I may do more tests later with both buffed at a higher str to see if there's any difference.

Not every fight, no. Only once every two minutes. If each were to go consecutive rounds for a full 2 minutes, with the Berserker outdamaging the BM by the margins in my logs, Flurry would not be enough to make up for the difference.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Doublefrost has no defensive penalty, while Hurricane has a medium defense penalty. And Ravager and Hurricane were doing similar damage, but Ravager uses up less endurance.

Did he zerk? Keep in mind that the Zerker could go ratboy every fight if put into "real" RVR scenarios.

Also keep in mind that "ratboy" has heavy defense penalties.
I do play a zerk. I've never hit for 700+ without a crit. Hell, I might hit for around that WITH a good crit while zerked.
I also constantly play with a Shaman. My Str is at a 311 buffed. I seem to hit for around 250-450. This depends on the class and level of who I'm hitting. Also, please note that we've owned both melee relics on Trisan for a long time now too.
I have no idea where these 700+ non crit hits come from unless it's a bug.
I don't know many zerks that use the 3 style chain. I generally just use Doublefrost or Snowsquall (Rear style).
We definitely do better damage, but please don't fall for the 700+ hit hype.

There are a lot of factors that are going to count in what kind of damage you're doing. Such as your quickness, speed/qual of the weapons your using, etc.
Bashgud was hitting people for 550-600, but he also had 112 quickness.

Kamuka and Fel have both posted SS's of them doing over 700 damage mainhand. Is it a bug? I don't know. But I haven't yet seen a Blademaster do it. For that matter, I haven't ever seen one do more than 500 damage mainhand. Maybe it can be done, I don't know. Best I managed myself was 405 on vulnerable armor.

I play a BM. I've never hit for 700, or 600, or even 500 on a yellow con.
I can break 400 on a crit, on a mage, thats about it.
Theoretically, I could break 500 on a crit, if you were vulnerable to crush and had no crush resistance and I had 3 str relics.

Jelinar thank you so very much for your proof possitive that BM/Mercs need help AND FAST.
I myself have been smacked by a Zerker NON-zerked before and hit for over 800 damage in one swoop. I was 47 and he was 49/50. Yes given the level did make a difference, but I am supposed to be slash resistant, AND, this was most likely a TOTAL damage displayed to me. Meaning both his left and main hand hits with bonuses tied together. You can therefor easily see how they can get up to 700-800 while buffed and NOT zerked.
Thank you again for your time and efforts. I just hope Mythic is listening.
I am still praying for evade VI. Ya I know we wont get Evade 6, but hey if we ask for the stars, they might just give us the moon (evade IV -4-).

My quickness hovers around 135 buffed. also, I use the standard 99% quality Double Bladed and Hand Axe combo.
If you're ever hit fot 800, it has to be a max hit and crit... These will be shown to you as one number.
Hell, I cap at 488 on a grey con critter. I'm not sure what the difference is between them and RvR though...
I'm not against you guys getting helped, I'm jsut against this notion that zerks hit for 700+ normally. I only do that on a lucky zerked hit, and they're probably not level 50...
I do beleive we ARE the best damage dealers, but we're not 700+ gods.

If anyone is interested, I can duel my wifes Runemaster and my friends Healer and post the logs from the damage. They are both 50. I can do a set without buffs, and a set fully buffed.
Also, I can do a set against our 48 Shaman. Just to give an idea of what the level difference does.
I am all for supporting you guys getting something extra. I just want to educate the now zerk community on what we're really like.
Do I think you should get style damage that matches ours? Honestly, no. I like the idea that the similar classes of each realm are different. The game was always based on that. I like the idea of added Evade. Good luck in whatever you can get though!

Ugh, these logs are sickening. Truly sickening. How they can pretend Zerkers and Blademasters are "balanced" is beyond me. Nothing disheartens me more than the cold hard truth.
Thanks for testing, Jelinar. Now it's time to go back and re-think if I want to continue my Blademaster for the time being.
