Looking to go exploring with Hibs into
the various dungeons (Marfach, Dodens, and
that other one) and wondering what I should
expect from the bosses, how to beat them,
and what they are worth? Can you just...
walk around certain ones?

I really like these dungeon areas and will
not rest until we drop a few named. (Unlike
that Blue Lady ownage...oh the hurting!)

All I know is a group of 6, all 50, tried to take on the blue lady in Marfach and she spawned a like 8 red con flying axes and swords and they killed us. So beware Blue Lady.

A couple of things about Marfach:

I'm playing on a euro server, patch 1.62, that means,
some infos may be obsolete, and... i may not remember
or translate some names exactly ;-)

Nameds:

Bas Altanin: Oj for 50, drops ROG loot, sometimes
a 16.5 DPS staff with druid/nightshade stats,
sometimes a nice cloak, most of the time nothing

Dark Eldritch: Red/Grape for 50, i've killed him about
50 times, no drops :-(

Champion A..: Grape for 50, doable with 1 good group
(some high tanks, warden, caster... ), he usually BAFs
with 2 red/grape guards, drops a green sword, a ring
and a bracer (droprate is quite high).

Chieftain Came...: Grape for 50, similar group
configuration as for the champion needed, also BAF,
drops one of the fastest spears ig, with rainbow
particle effects, a ring and a bracer with quite
nice caster stats.

Red Lady: Doable with 1 fg, she has a lot of innocents
as guards, pull them first (the lady doesn't leave a
certain area), kill all innocents, cure disease,
and tank the lady down. She has a quite nasty AE-DD
proc on her spear, parries quite good, but is no
real problem, the fight may just take a little time.
She drops a necklace, and a couple of red colored,
red glowing weapons: a piercer, a warden sword,
a bluntmaster hammer, and some others i didn't
recieve yet. Drop rate seemed to be about 33%, or
a little lower...

/edit: the room with the red lady has 2 entrances,
i usually fight the lady from the entrance which
leads to summoners hall, because the other entrance
is a spawn-point for some guards, which add if the
lady calls for help.

Blue Lady: Doable with one good fg, but... quite tricky...
the summoned swords and axes may whipe the whole
group in a couple of seconds. My strategy: clear
the room of the oaks, move to the border of the
deprecion, have one tank pull the lady, and the othes
stay close to the supporters. As soon as the lady
spawns the weapons, try either to mezz all weapons, and
concentrate on the lady, or have the tanks aggro the
weapons, while the puller still fights with the lady,
use some area spells to kill the weapons, and then
kill the lady. She drops a good cloak (one of the
best tank-cloaks ig before 1.64), and blue glowing
weapons.

Black Lady: Uups... I've seen her zerged down with
5+ fgs, I've heard, she is doable with 1 fg and
focus-pull, but I never killed her with one or two
groups. She spawns 6-7 naaasty adds, grape for 50,
which may respawn quite fast :-(, that's all i can
say. I've heard she drops one nice jewel, with NS
stats, and some weapons...

/edit: to get through the room with the black lady,
just have the whole group run through the room, and
ignore the lady and her adds. Don't stop, if someone dies,
just run through the room, turn left, and wait behind
the corner for the faerie-adds, which usually aggro
through the wall... As soon as the faeries are dead,
you can rezz the victims...

A couple of additional infos about the other two
rvr-dungeons. I must admit, i haven't been there
as often as in Marfach, so the infos are more vague,
and I have minimal informations about the loot.

Hall of the corrupt (Alb):

The only three important nameds are afaik
Lady Darra
Lord Gildas
Aidon the archwizard

There are a bunch of other nameds, conning from
blue to red for 50, but they didn't drop anything
for me, and are easily defeated with 1 fg.

Lady Darra:

I usually let my group wait upstairs, go down the
spiral staircase, pull her, go back to my group,
and fight there. She usually brings one grape add,
which can be easily handled. I killed her about
4-5 times, but I don't remember any drops...

I haven't experienced the two other nameds, i only
know some things about them:

Lord Gildas:

Drops a nice flaming spear, and can be defeated
with 1 fg.

Another info, which has cost my groups life: to pass
the archwizard, you have to walk with your group as
close to the wall, as possible. The wizard creates
some copies of himself, and if you aggro them, you're
lost. Running through the room, as used in the other
two dungeons doesn't work hier, due to the high number
of adds waiting for you on the other side (we tried
it twice with a quite good group, no chance).

Dodens Gruva (Mid):

I went there twice, once from summoners hall to the
exit, and once in the inverse direction. That's
why i only have infos about a couple of nameds...

Jarl Ormarr:

Easy to defeat with 1 fg, he droped a nice medium shield
for us (with +shield, two resists and... ?).

Mistress of runes:

We killed her with one group, but i don't remember
if there was anything special about her.

Gudlaugr:

Funny! The first time I saw him, and his little "surprise"
i was rolling on the floor laughing :-D. He didn't drop
anything for us (we killed him twice), but... it's just
nice to see him...

Aros the Spiritmaster:

The boss hier, just as the black lady or the archwizard,
he summones a couple of grape adds, which whiped
our two groups, although we did get him down to 50%.
I think, with the right tactics, this may be the easiest
rvr-dungeon boss.

To get through his room... just run, the summoned
shades won't follow you. You may have to fight some
yeti adds, but not approximately as much as in the
alb-rvr-dungeon.

Are there maps anywhere to Marfach and summoners hall?

What about the summoner and the stuff on the way to him any tricks to taking that down?

Can help with my experiances in these Dungeons, gonna do it in 4 parts so I dont get capped by number of letters or whatever, as far as maps go, have a look using search engines. DAOC maps, Marfach Map Summoners Hall map should work, theres quite a few about, the 1 I have has all black background. Granias Glade is a good map resource if I remember right, is also links to map sites from allakhazam as well if my memory serves me right :-

Marfach - Bosses of Distinction

Blue Lady - Summons 5-6 Red-purple con flying axes/swords. As long as your prepared for these you should be ok. I think they can be mezzed (do not know), but at any rate tanks take the aggro and concentrate on the Lady. She falls rather quick, dont waste time on the weapons as they insta pop again, as soon as the Lady is dead they vanish. 1 balanced fg shouldnt have a problem, 2fg will breeze by her.

Drops - as I know a bow and some other junk, most notable drop is the cerulescent cloak, possibly 1 of the best tank cloaks ingame.

Red Lady - Near the end, shes pretty gimped, and a waste of time. She summons innocents, those annoying greens with disease from the entrance, but only 1 round of 8 of them, nothing pbae cant handle. Other than that she mellees, as long as you stay on her back to avoid her parrying she wont be much of a problem for a fg.

Drops - nothing afaik, killed her 5-10times and never seen more than bags of coins, rather disappointing.

Named Captain and Cheiftain - simple purple cons, nothing special, just a spruced up undead guardian. Occasionally drops RoG weapons.

Black Lady - Big boss of Marfach. Shes hard, and no small force is going to down her very easily. She Parries almost everything from her front, so tanks HAVE to be on her back. She can also kill most tanks in 1 hit,so keep your pbts up. However she cant leave her room, so it is possible to keep healers/mages out of danger. However if no1 is engaging her, she does let of void looking bolts at players, but their nothing in comparison to her superier melleeing abilities.
She also summons 5-6 very purple Ogresses. They come out of the Big tree in the middle of her room. However their a bit buggy. If you keep the Lady as close to the doorway into the room as possible, it is possible to engage her, and not have the ogresses be able to reach you. If you have to fight them as well as her without a massive zerg your pretty much screwed. She has shedloads of HP as well, so she wont be a 5minute wonder.
Very tough battle, fortunately her rewards are also special. Ive seen a number of very nifty items drop, including a great bard belt, and stealther jewel.

No trick needed for taking down summoner i have lead 9 raids on him and killed him every time i actually run raids to him once a week.

Hint Kill G.Summoner first dont waste time on lower ones

With 17 people on run i seen it drop 3 stones but when i had a 13 peron raid he only dropped 2 not sure why tho.

Hall of the Corrupt.

very nice dungeon, some great scenery, can clearly see which RvR dungeon was created first as always...

Theres loadsa small named stuff around here, but again only 3 main bosses, they are :-

Lady Darra - not particulerly difficult. she has a high con undead paladin with her. The biggest problem is the 3 Archwizards on the balcony above her doorway. You can either as someone suggested pull her out of her room and gank her on the stairs, or have 1 person keeping the wizards occupied so their not nuking while you kill her. Shes not too hard, keep on her back to avoid parries, but 2fgs should take her down easy.

Arch Wizard Aiden - hahaha, this guyz unbeleivable. Seriously he should be the GrandSummoner, coz he'd pawn Govannor in every encounter.
Basically hes in a smallish room. There are 2 alcoves on the left, and 2 on the right. In each alcove is an archwizard (bosses in their own right). They dont move from their alcove, and they respawn VERY fast. There are 2 red con undead guards at both ends of the room on each door.
Heres the good stuff, when Aiden aggros (which is pretty much as soon as you enter the room), he splits into 5. He then proceeds to rain fireballs onto all who dare oppose him. On top of his 5 fireballs every 3seconds his 4 archwizards cone alive and rain cold nukes down on the force as well. As if this isnt bad enough its also rather easy to aggro large amounts of red undead guards from the room next door to also help in in his battle Oo.
Aiden is by far the hardest RvR dungeon boss, and unless you have a large force with a lot of healers forget him. Hes the reason why most albs go to Summoners Hall through Marfach.
Ive never killed him, so use my advice with caution. Killing the archwizards 1st is unfeasable, coz by the time youve killed the fourth the 1st 2 will be back up again. You need 1 tank/pet on each wizard, to keep them in mellee so their nukes are cancelled. The rest of the force needs to stay on all 5 Aiden parts. His HP pool is linked, so he goes down fast, its just once people start dying it very quickly degrades into a massacre. If any1 sees an Aiden part nuking they need to get on him to make sure hes melleeing. Get mages to concentrate on eliminating the undead guards that come to aid him. Other than that cross your fingers. Ive heard he drops a rather nice glowy staff...but 1 that has to be earnt Oo.

Lord Gildas - never got past Aiden so dont know anything about him...needless to say if you can kill Aiden you can probably walk all over Gildas.

Dodens Gruva

Never been very far into Dodens, Ive killed some stuff tho.

Hamer - a Rather simple snow vendo, 1fg can kill him nps. Doesnt drop anything to note, is a nice Mid exp area tho.

Mistress of Ruins - Hard to get too, and totally not worth the effort. She summons 2 Undead Troll fighters, theyre tough, and they insta respawn, so get 1 person engaging them, the rest on the Mistress. She DoTs I think, or nukes, but shes not that hard, stay on her back as always and she'll drop fast, too bad she just doesnt drop...at leasst not that I know of.

Theres a named Thane at the bottom of a big Yeti room. Hes generally not on most online maps for some reason, but he is there. Is rather simple, he throws some crap nukes aka a normal Thane. 1fg can probably kill him, he dropped a very nice SS tank medium shield last time I did.

Aros the SpiritMaster - never fought him, so dont know much if anything about him. Just that he exists, and I sure as hell hope hes not on par with Aiden the Archwizard ><

Summoners Hall.

Most of the mobs in here start neutral to everyone. The only way this changes is if people kill a lot of Summoners, or they farm the mobs. Altho killing these mobs in a proper force isnt hard, its almost impossible to participate in a focus pulling 1fg, as the mobs are just far too high a level, baf mad and repop fast for focus pets to get through. A lot of people are thus reluctent to lose their aggro, so the only way Ive come around this is getting every1 to go solo. The only thing their allowed to kill are Deep Wolves. I just run the whole force solo through the mobs, with explicit instructions for nobody to attack anything, even if it attacks them. Once through the other side all neutral rezzers return and rez pull the dead people through these rooms. Again if your force is big enough to just kill their way through be my guest, but I tend to find most ppl very funny about not wanting to get bad faction, and the indecision tends to lead to a lot of dead people halfway through with everyone with bad aggro and flaming the leader....

There are 3 Summoners and the Grand Summoner, heres their strategies.

Grand Summoner Govannor - nothing special about this guy. Just fight him. Tanks keep on his back to avoid parry. Can be focus pulled (says it all), or 2-3fgs can beat him with relative ease. All he does is mellee so keep your pbt up and should be ok.
There are 2 things to note with this guy. 1st at around 55-60% he does an IP. This is just annoying (coz he has loooads of HP), but if you can get him to this % you can probably kill him so is no biggy. You can however avoid it if you can get people to land a conveniant stun, so at 60% get your Annihilations and Slams off to do your best to cancel this annoying ability. He only IPs once any battle so even if he does get it off, you wont have to deal with it again.
The only other thing to note is that at 50%ish he transforms into a solid black version of a daemon aeir. Once he does this you know he wont IP, so as soon as hes changed you can get back to normal attacks without need of stun tactics. When hes past this stage just beat him into submission. Keep pbt up, and all mages melleeing (no spell will ever hit) and he should drop eventually. When he dies a mobish thing appears on his pedestal, but it dies rather quickly. The 3 teleport people around his pad will then port you back to an Hibernian fort/place so no need to suicide out happy .

Most notable drops are his cloak, that everyone wants, as well as a host of armor and accessories, and a guaranteed realm ability respec stone, with a possibility of 3.

Mini Summoners

The mini Summoners dont really drop anything. They can drop 1 realm respec stone, and Ive seen some druid stuff on occasion (including a staff happy ), but most the time its coins. However they are fun and a challenge, so if you kill them is your choice.

Firstly if you have aggro people, you can still engage these mobs, even tho a load of uber sidhes guard their doors. Again degrp every1 and run straight through into their rooms. As you enter the Summoners chamber veer hard left into the corner. As long as people stay near the wall and outside the pillers the mini Summoner wont aggro. Once all the unwanted attention de aggros get neutral rezzers to go back and rezz pull those poor dead folk through into the corner with the main force. Its also important that no1 goes near the doors during the fights, coz if you pull the purple sidhes into the battle your in trouble, as well as having a lot of upset neutral people who may fear theyl lose their faction.

Hib Mini Summoner (dont know his name).

This guy has 1 notable ability. He summons continual hordes of yellow/orange con mobs to aid him. The joke of this is that they only have 100-200HP...so die in 1-2 shots max. Where this battle goes wrong is when these summons get out of control and start interupting healers.
Thus its very important that ALL ppl stay as close to the Summoner as possible. Tis way the mobs all come to the same area making light work for the mages. Have tanks on the Summoners back, mages concentrating on summons control, and healers doing what they do oh so well and he should be much of a problem. He hits hard but hes not too difficult as long as those mobs stay off your healers.

Mid mini Summoner Cunovinda.

This girls VERY amusing. Shes the only Summoner that never summons. She almost never mellees, has very weak defence, and the least amount of HP of all the Summoners. She also has only 2 moves. Simple huh?
Her first move is a rather weak bolt. Looks like void so im guessing is cold based. Wont cause much damage on its own....except that she couples it with possibly the most devestating attack of all 3 summoners. She spends most of her time teleporting people to the top of her chamber. The resulting fall does 75%+ HP damage to all that feel it. Coupled with her bolt this can be particulerly devestating.
Have wardens keep damage add up, she doesnt ellee so you want to kill her as fast as pos. Then just have faith in your healers. She rarely parries but doesnt hurt to keep positional styles going. Have tanks get back into the frey asap, an army of NS would be really good here :P. You need a lot of healers, crack5 and power potions for backup to guarantee this victory, otherwise just hope and prey happy .

Alb mini Summoner Roesia :-

The living npc incarnation of an Alb. Shes possibly the hardest of all 4 Summoners, why? because she has almost everything at her disposal.
When shes engaged she summons 4 purple bows. These need to be dealt with quickly, as soon as their dead they wont come back unless she deaggroes and is re-engaged. Once their down stay on her. She has a lotta HP, and parries a lot so keep ppl on her back. She throws out some simple nukes, an even more devestating ae DoT (so make sure ur rangers/healers are far spread), and if thats not bad enough, at 15-20% she casts HoT on herself, which gives her back up to 15% of her health.
Ive never killed her, because the 1st and only time I ever engaged her I got into a stalemate. She casts HoT EVERY time (at least she did unless shes changed) shes at 15%, which basically leads into a nowin battle. I ended up suiciding after an hour trying (altho I only had 3fgs at my disposal). You need to dish out a lot of damage in a small amount of time. Ive not tried it but stunning her at 15-20% until shes dead could also be a viable plan. A very big endurance battle...I just hope that she drops something more worthwhile than her other 2 colleagues.

Venoid, i'm afraid i have to disagree with you in
a couple of points, especially concerning the drops:

The red lady drops a lot, especially weapons, the drop-rate
is imho slightly higher than the drop rate of the
blue lady.

The champion and the chieftan don't drop ROG weapons,
the Champ drops a green falcatta, the chieftan drops
a spear, both can also drop a ring and a bracer
(the ring and the bracer from the champ and the chieftan
are different, but all have caster stats).

The mini-summoners have their own drop list, yesterday
i got a quite nice champ/vw belt from the hib-summoner
(+int, +str, +...?, +5 parry) and a nice small shield from
the alb summoner.

To the tactics... it's all said. Just a couple of
remarks from my own experience:

Black Lady: we killed her with 3-4 groups yesterday.
The most important thing is... keep your supporters
outside of the room. I allways fight her from the
entry leading to summoners hall, because the guards
on the other side can cause a lot of trouble, if
they are adding in combat. The ogress... thats
the real pain with the lady. They respawn so fast,
that it doesn't make any sense to kill them...
In our first try, we killed some ogress, and fought
the lady, but... with the insane ogress-respawn-rate,
our healers were quick oom, and we had to break.
In our second try, we pet-pulled the lady, and had
the luck that the ogress didn't aggroed the pet,
so we got the lady down to 30% using the pets
(we had two mana-enchs, without any mentas, or power-
potions... ;-) ). After that, the tanks went on the lady
again, we still got ogress-aggro, but we killed the
lady quite fast. She dropped the nice bard belt...

Alb-Summoner:

As we arrived, the room was full with summoned
bows and staffs, additionally to the sidhes usually
standing at the entrance. We had to retreat behind the
corner, and pull the bows and staffs carefully.
As soon as the first wave was dead, we split our
forces into two equal parts (each 1 1/2 - 2 grp
strong). The first part fought Roesia, the second part
was waiting for the summoned bows. She summoned in the
beginning of the fight about 2 or 3 times a couple
of bows, after that she was only in melee. She uses
in melee a PBAE DOT, she mezzes sometimes, she has
her HOT, but... she went down in 20-30 minutes.
As i already told, she droped a nice shield with
druid stats.

Grand Summoner:

He spawns at the beginning of the fight 2 pets,
which... may cause some trouble. We pulled the summoner
with one pet, having all the tanks fight his summoned
adds. The adds merge into another kind of mob
(looks like Ronat from the druid epic quest, just bigger),
if they have taken a serious amount of damage.
As soon as the summoner killed the pet, we had
a shield-tank to aggro him, while the rest was
still concentrating on the (in the meantime merged)
add. As soon as the add was dead, we all went on the
summoner, and after that, it was a easy fight,
despite his ip. As the summoner went down, a shade
spwaned on his pad. We first talked to the shade, and
then killed it, recieving two additional
(crappy) items.

The grand summoner droped two ra-respec-stones,
a nice black scythe with a life-drain proc on it,
two vw-rings (with +parry, +scythe), and a af 100,
95% scale armor.

Ah apologies Claudia. Im playing the European game, and am a couple of patches behind you guyz, so maybe the loot lists have been upgraded. As it stands Ive never seen the Red Lady drop as of yet, and yes the Blue Lady can drop nothing but coins as well.

Apologies for getting the 2 named guardians drops wrong as well, Ive not killed anything in there masses of time, but appears I was wrong on these accounts, same goes for Summoners drops, they are nice, but a lot of hard work for the risk that you can (or could) end up with nothing.

And aye, the Black Lady scenario is relying that the ogresses are buggy, the Black Ladys hard as well...with those Ogresses tho shes almost impossible for a small force, so you need to hope that they dont get involved, and if they do pull back, rez up and try again.

I thought the GrandSummoner summoned pets at start...he didnt the 1 time we killed him, will have to try again and see what we missed out on

Yeah, if you don't get the ogres, the black lady's not so bad. Done her a couple times with 1fg. Her movement radius seems to be somewhat limited, so a healer can keep some distance and heal essentially as much as is needed without being attacked. With pbt, good healing, power regen, at least a tank or two attacking her back and a good shield tank holding aggro, she's very killable with one group.
