I like:
* runspeed of high level pets
* damage they do

I dislike:
* lack of HPs
* kiting causes them to be 'too far away' to melee sometimes

The pets themselves are fantastic, its the subpar line (no variance-free repeatable damage) that makes them unattractive.

I agree 100% Earth pets are vary good... the problem is the earth line its self, other than the earth pets the line is a waste for RvR (PBT is still good for group PvE)

only complaint is keep/tower pathing but it looks like mythic thinks its cool to have pets stick on friendly doors.

Player 1, Cheats LoS in PvE, no one considers quiting DAoC because of it = Mythic Suspends/bans the account
Player2, Cheats LoS in an RvR area, many people get mad and a few people actually quit. = Mythic does nothing

in respsonse to the two posters above, i think they should move the dd/snare from ice to earth for theurgists too, like they did for wizards !!!

if they did that they would neeed to add some thing else to improve the ice line... May be a cold based DoT or some thing like that.

I agree with alot of the other posters that earth pets are pretty good but the earth line its self sucks. It needs some thing... may be a single target diesese/DD type thing

The earth pets are great. They could use a few more HPs though.

I think the earth pets that are currently in game are a vast improvement over the higher hp, 30 second slow crawling earth pets prior to them. The lower HP's are not an issue for me, the run speed makes up for it.
What I don't like (and I used to be 48e/24i until rr6L2ish) is that bodyguard negates their use.

Earth Pets: Strong-arm pets. In theory

What I like:
Fast, awesome leveling pets at low levels (My theurg was the first to solo oj.....I know, but I was a noob back then)
Enough damage so that when you debuff aggro wont go directly to you
Solid pets for the lower levels

What I dont like:
Low HPs at higher levels.
No choice for FnF and/or ranged versions

Suggestions:
Increase HPs just a smidge on a scale going up per level

FnF pet - Fire it, forget it, later you'll get RPs because an enemy got close to it and it chunked a rock at it, snaring it and doing damage while the zerg onslaughted the person.

Taunt - since the earth pets are in theory the strong-arm pets, they should have some kind of way to keep the mob on them. The only problem I can forsee is that the mob would probably be jerked in all directions trying to chase the taunt. Maybe it can be coded so that the first pet (which changes due to deaths in the pets, be it timer or otherwise) is the one with the taunting, when it dies the next one in line does the taunting, and so on and so forth.(If this doesnt work perhaps pushing for a matter melee proc?)

What I like about earth pets:
1) Fast speed and long duration makes them the only viable pet in modern RvR combat where overextending is the norm and where the other pets simply can't keep up.

2) Uber in PvE

3) Decent damage

4) Only pet that ML9 convoker works with

What I dislike:
1) Low HPs - note that although I dislike this, I don't think it's unbalanced and think it should stay, it's a fair compromise for the good pet speed/damage/duration.

2) In a weak spec line not worth speccing (Can I say that tongue ?)

3) ML9 convoker at least works on earth pets, however 1min duration hurts it badly. Solution - ML9 convoker should act as a joint charm spell for it's duration such that when you cast ML9 on a pet it charms the pet and increases it's size/level accordingly. When ML9 wears off the pet should die as normal, this would solve the problem ML9 convoker has with all theurg pets and still wouldn't be anymore overpowered than any other ML9 pet caster. Note that in addition to this we should probably see an overall blanket nerf to ML9 such that it only boosts pets by 75% or so of what it currently does. ML9 convoker is extremely powerful and this is why Mythic wont fix it for theurgists - because they don't want more overpowered ML9 pets in game, however this is unacceptable that Theurgists be left out just because the ability as a whole is overpowered. Nerf ML9, make it work properly for theurgists.

I don't list my chars in my sig. because I have chars of every type and in every realm and some muppet always has to point out that I have chars in xx realm and therefore I'm biased, ignoring every other char listed in my sig. Hoorah for VN idiots.

Dislikes:

HPs makes them too vulnerable to AoE one/two shotted en masse
Swing speed is way too slow making their DPS a lot worse than ice
They are unusable in seige..and if you are full earth you are useless

Earth pets are definately too easy to (pre)kite. Ice pets you don't 100% KNOW are coming for you, but earth pets, it becomes pretty obvious. Even if you run at the last second, you can be "too far to attack", and while they are keeping you from stopping to cast, they aren't doing any damage either.

Their HP is very very low, but agree with above there needs to be some sort of balancing factor, and I guess that is it. However I don't think procing a low duration disease would be out of line.

The earth line is also very weak/bland, but we've seen your TL report on that, and I'm sure you are fighting mythic on it.

Yep same as everyone else: their HPs are too low and they're too easy to get rid of.

I like the idea of moving the DD/Snare to the earth line and adding a DoT to ice. If not, maybe a DoT in earth instead. Earth needs at least something added to the line and be given a reason to spec high in it, and what it really lacks is a damage spell. Possibly a snare spell would be nice, but that's really the ice line's definition right now.

I like the ground speed for the takedown of fleeing enemies.

I dislike the low siege damage...I feel like these guys could really help more on tower/keep doors or even tower/keeps (rock on rock action = dust, ya know?). They'd still be prone to oil or AoE spells because of their HPs (could be higher, not gonna say I dislike the current level but I'd like a higher HP count).

I like:
- Speed
- Scalable damage

I do not like:
- swing speed could be faster
- size (should be larger)
- short duration

Could use a single target pet disease with its melee damage.
