Like WP and MoM to effect verd pbae, did they do this on purpose or what was original deal?

Man that would make them so OP in pve but perfect in rvr, can't we have a compromise watermellon and get at LEAST Wild power to effect pbae? happy

I was thinking of specing verd for a month to see how it fairs in keeps/seiges but the RA limits make it so hard to want to switch grin

Im verd now and i'm telling you its a pain in the butt, its really nice for breaking bridge camps, i've found a way to place a shroom inside the 2nd floor of the bridge tower and pbaoe once mebbe twice with it, if i had a mentalist or druid help with heals i can sit there and spam it, but it does so little damage, most of the time i hit for 100-250 ish tops and so i hardly db anyone unless they are a bot or some other group charges in and i just happen to finish them off, but it annoyins them and keeps them healing to drain power I suppose. My only wish is that the verd pbaoe would go up in strength as you went up in verd or something instead of being a base delve attack...For as hard as it is to setup on a group cast the pbaoe and then wait for when the pet thinks its a good time its like 3 seconds to cast pet, 3 seconds to case pbaoe +time to set the gt in the first place even in some siege/tower/bridge fights you just can't put it down fast enough to be able to hit people sometimes its really hard, And short of taking care of thurg pets in the field you wont get anything there either so untill theres some changes, its really good in close quarters, such as defending a staircase, but only if your joining someone elses pbaoe cause it just doesnt seem to do enough damage...other then that stick with arb.

Wild Power, Mastery of Magery and Mastery of Focus currently do not affect the Verdant line of pet cast PBAE spells. This causes a greater lack of RA selection when a Verdant Animist is involved as conventional caster RAs have no effect on their primary means of damage.

We're currently investigating this as a bug.


Which seems potentially in the future they might open up TOA damage (not sure why they would do that w/o opening up MoM). I have not heard back about this issue yet either way, as the reports cycle around faster I will probably readress the RA/toa bonus situation with verdant. It didnt warrant the slot on the last round of reports due to a very limited amount of room and the general attention (and improvements) verdant got last round - ie: it wasnt my focal point.

Obviously, things change - they have their reasons which they didn't disclose, but, if I had to guess it would have to do with the defining features of the verdant PBAE. ie: No LOS required and its uninterruptable. (yes, yes, more resist rates than normal etc, etc tongue but I have a ton of necros [13 now] and I like the verdant PBAE alot better (though its alot easier to pull with my necro cause the abom is mobile!).

Not that verdant would be overpowered by any means - but they just seem to have chosen to limit its power in terms of damage/mobility rather than interrupts/LoS and obviously, as the game progresses, all things are subject to change.
