    Just posted the report to the devs, and posting here for you all.

    Seldaren's Spiritmaster TL Class Report
    v1.70

    Spec line Issues
    1. Darkness:
    - Lifetaps are considered "combo" spells and therefore have an increased resist rate (relative to straight DDs). Lifetaps are already lower damage, do not see the need for the increased resist rate.

    2. Summoning:
    - This specline lacks utility and usefulness, and is very unpopular to spec in. The rez at 23 is seen as the only useful spell in the line. Some realm-friendly spells would go a long way to helping this spell line.
    - Gift of the Fallen damage shield has a very short duration (60sec) and very short range. DPS may be somewhat high, but those two factors serve to decrease the usefulness of this line of spells.
    - Summoners do not get as much benefit from the pet-intercept, as they send pet into battle. Minimal damage of pet does not make up for loss of defense.

    Realm Ability Issues
    1. Loss of Wild Arcana (WA)
    - Pre-NF WA was the only way to make debuffs and DoTs crit, it was removed with NF. DoTs were rolled into Wild Power, debuffs were not. Post-NF debuffs no longer crit. Understandable why resist debuffs lost the ability to crit, but the critting of stat debuffs is not exactly overpowered.
    - Do not see the reason why Wild Power does not effect stat debuffs.

    2. RR5 ability, Spirit Martyr
    - It is felt that this RA does not compare very well with some of the other RR5 abilities. It requires the sacrifice of the SM's pet (class defining aspect and form of defense). Other caster RR5 RAs involve helping the caster defensively, this one removes an SM's line of defense.
    - This RA can be altered to be somewhat more effective, such as removing the link to the pet's health

    3. Lack of free RA for casters
    - Several classes receive "defining" RAs at specific lvls. Caster classes receive no such benefit. Could be argued that casters should receive some form of power regen or power heal.

    New Issues
    1. Pets cannot be taken on the fast attack boats in NF. Boating is a crucial part of NF, and not having a pet up on landing puts the SM at something of a disadvantage when entering enemy territory.

    2. Pet pathing in and around NF keeps and towers is very problematic, resulting in pets getting "lost" frequently.

    3. Pets have difficulty exiting a tower, when told to attack someone outside the tower. They shouldn't be able to enter a tower under siege, but when defending an SM should be able to send the pet outside to attack.

    Item Problems
    1. Decay rate on artifacts does not appear equal, sub-lvl50 artifacts seem to degrade faster.

    Documentation Issues:
    1. Herald does not show the range on the Gift of the Fallen line of spells.

    2. How debuffs scale on buffed targets should be documented somewhere.

    Other Issues
    1. Radii on dex/qui and str/con debuffs are different.
    2. Pet does not keep up when SM is sprinting.
    3. Pet summoned underwater appears on ocean floor, not level of the caster.
    4. Brittle guards do not port when using portal stones.
    5. Pet does not receive group buffs from artifacts.
    6. Additional bad pet pathing in follow locales: Dellingstad Crater, Trollheim.
    7. Pet walks very very slow when using the Here command, should use normal speed.

i dunno if anyone will see this, but I have mof 1 to bring my tap up to 50 and i still see soooo many resists..its really annoying

Hi, Just recently I decided to continue my conquest of my now 2year old SM. Just wanted to comment on a few things I observed while lvling him and pking (Mord) Well mostly I wanted to delve into the pet issues. Iam soloing without a buff bot for the majority of the time btw. My spec at 50 is 47dark,26supp,6summoning.

First of all when trying to lvl or farm, I do my best to conserve my power not being specced in summoning really doesnt give me the luxury of decent effiencient power friendly heals for my pet I noticed that with charm classes the mobs regen out of battle quite alot faster increasing pet regen would be a great way to save on downtime.

Usually what i will do to pull is tap3-4x wait for pet intercepts and tap or staff it to death, after a few pulls my pet dies from intercepting and i cast a new one.

I know im not summoning specced but believe me sending my pet into fight a yellow he gets his butt kicked in about 4 hits with the mobs being the way they are these days.

I have an idea how about making it so every 5 or so lvls specced into summoning our pets goes up a lvl, 75% our lvl/blue pet really dont cut it, not to mention with so many people having bots whos buffs overide ours.

The mobs in Cats that a menty or sorc can charm peform high lvl styles heal ptb and what not, putting my pet against a even con he will lose in about 4 hits he needs to be brought up to date in general.

I do not believe it would overpower us in any way to have even lvl pets or higher HPs on the pets, hes only used in pvp for intercepting and interupting most of the time he sitting there mezzed anyways heh.It would only help us farm alittle bit better it would be nice to able to send my pet in first take a mob down in hps abit so the pet actually holds agro then begin nuking.

inclosing the SM pet needs one if not all of the following.
1) More pet HPS!
2) Able to Summon pets higher than 75% lvl
3) More pet Damage
4) New fresh style/abilities to bring it up todate with todays charmable Mobs.
5)Faster out of combat regen for pet
6)/agree with everything Trol said

BTW im sure mythic is aware of this but the pet pathing in Cats is completely hooped.

ok first thing

The pets doesnt have more hps then cabby or chanter pet, I dont see why they would make us higher :(

The pet is actually 88% or our lvl (at lvl 50 pet is 50*.88= 44) 75% would mean a pet lvl 38 at 50 would would be REALLY gimp :)

If you speced a little higher in sum you would see the pet CAN do a lot of dmg

What I would see is not to add this to sm, but add the ability to charm even con pet maybe even high lvl to some other class that need a revamp *caugh*Hunter*caugh*

That I really agree with, the pet actually regen as fast as a player now, which make it really unefficient

my sm on mord is 47 dark 26 sum, and my pet can kick a lot of ppl 1vs1 just with the buff I get from the sum line at that lvl, the thing is, CON on any pet gives them ABS and not HPS, so with that low lvl str/con buff your pet gets hit a lot less, then with the dex/qui buff from sum line again, your pet intercept about 2 time as much. + you get a attack speed buff 10% with 26 sum for your pet... Oh and lets not forget the 15dps fds.

IF you would throw a bot into account, the pet gets as good as a necro pet (with 6dps missing on ds tho (15 against 21)) IMO it's not the pet that need a revamp (sm behing the best summonable pet class with intercept and probly better then even the charmable pet class on normal server due to lack of good utility mob), imo what the sm needs is longer range on the mez :) and decrease the resist rate on lifetap, those are my two real issue with both my sms
