<shrugs> if you're taking ten minutes, you're not doing something right. It can be done as part of the normal SC process - just drop that dust on with the first three gems. Only extra time is the ten seconds to buy the dusts.

A few follow-up questions here. This thread should be sticky so I don't have to keep finding it. BTw I believe the vendor is named Saffa in TNN.

1. Why would someone "not" want their new armor enchanted?
2. Is there any difference in player or NPC enchanting the items?
3. What does the %bonus of enchanting actually do for you and is it a different benefit depending on if its armor or weapon?

1. Because they don't want to annoy the SC'er by asking him to do it. Most people seem to think that if they annoy us even slightly, we'll put them on the "Never SC for this guy, his alts, or anyone who knows him" list.

Course, there's some truth to that, but we're mostly not so touchy as that. Quite.

2. No.

3. the weapon bonus cancels the armour bonus (or vice versa, depending on your perspective). It affects your chance to be hit and the damage you take.

If someone gives me Armor to spellcraft and its already enchanted, I tell them that I could of done it for (almost) free. I don't see how it would inconvenience a Spellcrafter in any way to do the Enchanting. All of the dusts are on my Incantation merchant, the one that sells the SC ingredients.

Still having a chance to blow up with a 1059 Spellcrafter, now that's an inconvenience!

Neither do I, really. But a lot of my customers seem to think it will. They're always saying something to the effect of "Don't want to put you to the trouble, I'll get the NPC Enchanter to do it while you're making gems"....

Does the +35% bonus work in PvE against MOBs?

Is the bonus for only armor or should you imbue weapons also?

Does the item have to be player crafted, or can drops and legendary items be imbued with 35%bonus?

Thanks in advance

Yes. You'll take much more damage without it. And not hit so well. Other day, I took a pally out with new armour. Forgot to enchant it. Took about 50% damage from a yellow mob. Realized my error, enchanted it, and went back. <10% from the same type of mob. No SC'ing either time, of course.

Do armour and weapons.

RoG drops have it built-in, so no enchanting needed. Likewise most OTD's, and other loot items. Used to be you'd find a piece now and then that wasn't, but not anymore. Second-hand stuff is NOT enchanted, and it helps a bit to do it, especially if you're using the level 30 second-hand stuff (if you still have some /level30 guys from back in the day - I think I do, but haven't checked minor servers in years).

Remember that legendary weapons are crafted, and DO need to be enchanted.

Thank you Angharad...
Excellent information, and I stand corrected on Legendaries, your right.

What skill level does it require to do lvl 51 armor? I'm assuming you have to be lgm SCer, is that right?

You need enough skill to work the material.

Which translates to 900+ for arcanium, 800+ for netherium, and so on.
