Does this actually do anything other than take power to cast and give you another fancy buff to look at?

So far, my lvl 45 Warden has the level 25 Solar Regeneration and, tbh, I cant see that it has any effect. I've tried not healing myself and sitting to watch the health regen effect. I've not noticed any difference in how fast I heal with it up vs not having it.

Is it just such a minor effect that I dont notice it? Is it even worth spending the power to cast it? It it great and I'm just missing the boat?

It definitely works, but I never use it in RvR. I'd rather not waste my buff slots.

Your buffs and effects slots that you have at the top of your screen. You are only allotted a certain amount. After you reach that cap abilities fail to function on you. I've had times when I was able to chain grapple because the stun effect couldn't be put on me or people can't get SoS, etc.

If that's really the case, wouldn't that be a pretty serious exploit? Does anyone have screenshots or logs of this?

ofc that works, why do you think Savages used to be grapple and mezz-immune in OF. I don't know if it still works or if it got fixed but check out the following on a savage:

af +str +s/c +con +dex +d/q +acuity +haste +endu +dmg add +dmg shield +mr => 12 buffs
heat/cold/matter +body/spirit/energy => 6 buffs

water breath => 1 buff
bodyguard => 1 buff

AF charge => 1 buff
traitor => 2 buffs

that gives an overall of 23buffs from the max of 27 you could ( can? ) have.

Now savages simply had ( have? ) to hit 4 of their self buffs and bingo, grapple/mezz/stun/root immunity 4tw. I think it got fixed though, cause I didn't face that since NF came.

Ofc a lot of these buffs were totally useless, but that wasn't really important then.

I remember seeing somewhere (maybe the Herald, not sure) that the buffs/stat effects WON'T SHOW after a certain number, but are still there.

So you won't see the icon but the effect is still in place. Not 100% sure, I've never tested it and don't remember where I saw it (and too lazy to look happy ).

Who did you ask? I talked to a dev about it a few months ago and they said it was on the list of things to do (not fix the cap, but redesign the cap as well as the visual representation, i.e. make the icons smaller). I haven't heard otherwise from either the head of the art or any other programmer.

Warden health regen is a waste of a spell and needs to be changed.

"a few months ago"

=))

I asked a guildy of mine here in EU who also has US accounts and plays a lot here and he said that the immunity bug got fixed. I have the same feeling cause since NF I never encountered that anywhere, but there is an easy way to test it, just follow what I said and get a fellow savage to do it =)) can add other artis aswell, to make it easier. Dunno if you can stack scalars +SoM on it, but you can do it with valk proc and traldor's oracle grp buff etc.

I'm well aware of the bug. You're wasting time typing when I've already said I routinely exploited it.

To get back on topic...Health Regen Buff should be improved or removed.

With +1500 HP, what good is 6 per tick (Reg 14)? Even if you spec Reg 45 you're only getting 19 HP per tick.

What they should do is revise the values and make them increase with level:

Reg 14 version
Lev 20: 6/tick
Lev 30: 9/tick
Lev 40: 13/tick
Lev 50: 17/tick

Reg 25 version
Lev 30: 13/tick
Lev 40: 17/tick
Lev 50: 23/tick

Reg 35 version
Lev 40: 23/tick
Lev 50: 29/tick

Reg 45 version
Lev 50: 35/tick

It's still not going to make a huge difference but it seems reasonable and at least it will feel like you're getting something from your spec points.

I remember a patch note several months back where they created special "negative only" effects slots so people couldn't exploit this.

1.48 Patch Notes

- Characters can now have 16 total buffs on them at any one time. Previously, they could have 20; now the "extra" 4 buff slots are reserved for debuffs/poisons/dots and other "enemy" effects.
