The Enchanter has 5 Pets.

Underhill Friend (N/A)

Underhill Companion (DD+Snare)

Underhill Ally (Heal, Health Regan Buff)

Underhill Compatriot (AF Buff)

Underhill Zealot (DD)

Is there a difference in health and dmg between the pets. I know the Compatriot has a AF buff and the Friend doesn't. Does the Friend deal more melee dmg then the Compatriot due to the lower ABS.

Far as i know all the pets have the same HP's and deal the same DPS in melee. The AF buff on the compatriot helps it take a bit less damage in melee, but if you have a buffer to put a base AF on the Ally it will have better absorb at higher levels due to the compatriot AF buff not scaling up with level.

Personally i have the Ally out all the time even if i don't have a buffer available, getting free heals is just too good and gives me a comfort zone in PVE, also stops you dying from DoT's in RVR, especially those pesky warlock ones that can really hurt if you're not buffed up and/or without good resists.

The Underhill friend is the best damage dealer when it comes to Melee. but havent got alot of hit pts.

Ally has the most hit pts.

I use Caster pet with snare/dd in RvR when Im not grouped.

If im in a group I use ally for emergencyheals ( Yes your pet heals your group mates too if the get under 25% in health and are in range)

the Zealot is as far as im concerned useless.

so is the Compatriot.

that was my 5 cents

So then I take it a Light Enchanter would get along well with the Zealot? Thank you for the info. I recently read a Cabby guide and it explained the difference in melee dmg and health of all the Sims so I was just courious how the Enchanter pets worked also happy

All of the above is good information. Zealot's debuff is 15%, so unless you spec'd nothing in mana, you should have a better debuff. The enchanter's caster pets behave strangely IMO. They should be casting but instead run in and melee when the target gets close enough.

And in case no one has heard this before.... The enchanter does not have a cure mez for his/her pet and therefore and decent enemy will void the pet by mezzing him and forgetting about it. lol, why o why?!?!

The friend is garbage once you get the Ally for focus pulling/ general PvE mode(the emerg heals are nice)

Like someone else mentioned, the compatriot's self AF buff is very low level and if you have a buffer, chances are their AF buff is far superior to the pets.

The companion's nuke has a 35% snare attached to it, its the one i use in the bg's 9 times out of 10, also the variance on the companions nuke is based on your MANA spec.

The zealots nuke has a small debuff associated with it, i dont think its as big as 15% but i could be wrong, i remeber nuking my bot and delving the debuff and it only said -2% resist. Anyway, the zealots nuke variance is based on your LIGHT spec.

Basically , for pve focus pulling, use the ally. For other related RvR activities, youll have to mess around with the pets and see which one you like for certian stuations.

Edit- concerning using the nuking pets for RvR , i have the pet stay here command on my hotbar, once i get someone in my sights, ill simply tell the pet to stay and then attack, that way they stay out of melee range and cast.
