Enchanter pet break down???

Can anyone explain the pros and cons of each. Ally seems to be the most popular. But i noticed the compatriot hits about 1.75x harder but i imagine has less absorb since they use their own green af buff. Whats best for focus pulling ml/arti mobs? Or mass pulling? And rvr...

ally is good solo solo rvr and focus pulling yellows that dont use magic
Pros:
high abs when buffed
emergency heals
Cons:
always wants to stop and heal/buff at terrable times
low melle damage
low hp
compat is best for fping high con mobs and anything that casts spells
Pros:
decent abs
good melle
high hp's
friend is best for grp rvr and farming single reds/low purples (with ml9)
pros:
Best melle damage
cons:
low hp's
low abs
companion i never use it but some poeple like it (best used as a form of kiting, but i find the ally's heal is more usefull)
Pros:
decent ranged damage
snare
cons:
low hp
low abs
bad melle
Zealot== useless in every way (cant even focus pull with them, cause FS doesnt overwite there self DS)

Slight correction
Zealot --> Good for attacking doors that have oil protecting them; good for giving defenders something to kill when you sic it on them as well.
I didn't say it was much of a change.

I think that an ally with a capped baseline AF buff has better absorb than a compatriot.

i use the companion more often than not for the snare--the ally usually ends up too far away to heal me and it stopping ot buff the people in my group drives me insane.

yeah for rvr use the companion, compatriot or friend. Companion doesnt work well with ml9, compatriot and friend are good melee pets that are dependable to keep on a target. Friend is more frontloaded damage since it swings slower, for big nasty hits in big pet mode.

you got ally with 50 nurt +25% buff af buff on it it takes a whole lot less dmg then compatriot. Ally also will pull agro off you more by healing.

hey, will +buff gear on the chanter affect the shield buff on the compatriot? I cant even think of any way to try to test that.

Ally will get you killed by healing instead of picking up agro like you need.
If your doing tarts and you get 2 salamanders on you, a healing pet is just insuring your quick death. Same with so many encounters.
The diffrence in damage taken in ml9 mode is negligable while the amount the ally hits for is half what the compatriot does.

For a Light Chanter (because I'm sure there's at least one out there) the Zealot pet casts a DD+Heat debuff. That's great for PvE, especially leveling. Anything that makes your spec DD hit harder is a good thing....

It does help, and it casts faster than the companion.
Sadly, the damage done by the zealot is based off of the chanters mana spec.
The companion's damage is based off of the casters light spec.
At 45 light, the companion hits for almost 75% more damage than if the caster has 20 light.
I tried 45 light when I got a dragon respec a while back, and was shocked at how much harder the companion nuked.
After doing some reading I found some old notes about the spec thing.
