what makes it better, i know +duration, what about +healing bonus or +stat enhancement?

what about ra's?
wild healing?
master of healing?

edit: what about acuity, does that increase the hp healed?

Looks like, "hot is always delve x 1.25 per tick and cannot be modded by stats or bonuses."

From my test, both +Healing effectiveness and +Buff effectiveness did NOT increase my HoT healing amount. Increasing acuity (int) also did not increase heal amount.

I recommend +20% spell duration. It made my HoT ticks for 6 times (5 tick with no bonus).

I believe it's 10% duration for the extra tick. Several have claimed that buff effectiveness helps the HoT, but that it's a very small amount. I havnt tested the HoT since the benefits were soo few.

Correct, it is 10% spell duration which gives the extra tick for the hot. I'm running 10% and my hot ticks the extra.

No, the most you can get is the 1 extra tick.

I forget the exact numbers, but the spell lasts 10 seconds. +10% gives you 1 extra second and +25% would give you 2.5 seconds more. I did the math once and I believe you'd need +30% to get one more tick, but +25% is the max.

Please note that (without +duration) the HoT ticks FOUR times, not five. I didn't believe it either, even after playing a mana ment for a couple of years, but someone on this board set me straight. The HoT lands, then: wait - tick - wait - tick - wait - tick - wait - tick. It doesn't tick as soon as it lands, as healing Mentalists who get too used to throwing it instead of a straight heal have learned to their rue as their realmmate or pet dies. If you don't believe me, watch the health bar the next time you use it.

I am certain that +10% duration gives the extra tick and 99% sure that no amount will give you a second extra tick. The logic or math of why this is escapes me, though.

My guess would be because it would make Mana ments over powered. or perhaps their HoT over powered..

Oh come on that was funny.

I just got home and looked at my info again. A combination of the above is true.

The hot lasts 10 seconds and pulses every 2, but not on the initial cast.

Cast hot tick
heal at 3 seconds
heal at 5 seconds
heal at 7 seconds
heal at 9 seconds

Done for a normal hot.

+10% duration adds 1 seconds, sooo

heal at 11 seconds

+25% duration (max) adds 2.5 seconds, sooo no extra heal. 10+2.5 = 12.5 seconds...the next heal would occur at 13 seconds, so it would require +30% duration which isn't allowed.

Can't have those overpowered ments. lol Got a laugh out of me Spyder.
