This article is Arvon_ORyan's detailed breakdown of a necro pet's buffs regarding ABS ( VN thread)

After some tedious searching, I came across this from a Grab Bag in November last year...

"...If you need a quick reminder of the hard cap numbers:

Hard cap for spec buffs: Player level * 1.5 * 1.25 (93 at level 50)
Hard cap for baseline buffs: Player level * 1.25 (62 at level 50)
Hard cap for buffs from items: Player level * 1.5 (75 at level 50)"

I had forgotten to add in the effective bonus to the stat cap, in addition to the delve value itself. My apologies.

The numbers for delve value, effective value, and value with 25% ToA bonuses and Mastery of the Arcane 5 are still accurate; it's just that the information for stat caps was wrong. Also, it seems AF has no hard cap. It can just keep going higher and higher.

Even with this new information, MotA and ToA bonuses are still only moderately useful though. A mere 13% ToA buff bonus would cause all of your buffs except acuity (and AF, since it has no cap) to cap. Clearly the acuity buff needs to be bumped up in delve value, considering it takes MotA 5 and 25% ToA bonus just to hit its cap of 93.

Just for fun, let's see what the abom's absorb would be if he was buffed by a 25% ToA bonus, MotA 5, 50 Enhance Cleric bot. We'll assume Dex, Qui, Str, and AF have no effect on absorb, since it hasn't been confirmed that they do for certain. We'll also assume the abom has no buff cap.

Abom's base absorb = 44% absorb
79 Con buff = 19% absorb
123 Str/Con buff = 30% absorb
Deathsight Abs buff = 9% absorb
Total = 102% absorb

Sheesh, that's crazy. Unfortunately, the abom's absorb would roll over from 100% back to 2%. But what if buff caps affect pets? What would the abom's absorb be then?

Abom's base absorb = 44% absorb
62 Con buff = 15% absorb
93 Str/Con buff = 23% absorb
Deathsight Abs buff = 9% absorb
Total = 91%

Wow, 91%. Still extremely high, and you only need 13% ToA bonus on the bot to get these results!

Just think how high it would go if AF, Dex, Qui, and Str added to absorb, and the abom had no buff cap. You could probably roll over from 100% and get all the way back up to the 80%'s again.
