I don't know enough about VW styles to know if this is good or bad, but this is in 1.84c.
Valewalker
- Scythe Styles have been re-organized in the following manner:
Parry -> Sawgrass -> Thorny Shield
Evade -> Arboreal Fire -> Flaming Scythe
side -> Stunning Blade -> Blizzard Blade
Rear- > Foxfire -> Winter's Scythe
Frontal-> Grasping roots -> Conflagration
- Arboreal Shield is now available at Spec 21 in Scythe.
- Grasping Roots is now available at Spec 34 in Scythe and has a 10 second PBAE Root.
- Conflagration now procs a 150 DD spell.
- Foxfire is now a Rear positional Style.
- Grasping Roots is now a Frontal positional Style.

They didn't change Damaging Grasp as far as I can tell. You'll just have the option of using Foxfire when the target has stun immunity and it will be nice for lower levels. Foxfire should also hit harder I think.

I'm not sure they're taking it away. I think it's just that its not part of a chain, so they didn't mention it. Unless it was in earlier patch notes that they were taking it away.

I think that's a fairly safe assumption. I just think that the rear positional is to, as a previous poster said, give you an alternative in the event you just want/have to sit someone in the back and they're already stun immune?
Although it begs to question, with the adjustments (and subsequent proc level adjustments) if you side stun someone is it worthwhile to run through the rear chain or swing to the side and use the side one. Hrm...definitely worth some testing when I get home from work. Still WTB Procs levels = Arb spec plz w/ MoF plz!
The 150 DD on Conflag is nice, but annoying in that I think may VWs respecced out of 50 Scythe after last patch cycle (neither of mine were 50 scythe to begin with). But seeing as how they just totally screwed around with the Scythe line, I'm almost positive we'll get respecs again.

Grasping roots is low end high damage (took about 2% endo)
CF is still high end/high damage (took about 20% endo) and now delves as energy (thought it was heat before)
GR proc is matter based (good imo)
CF damage is comparable to DG and GR is slightly less (I'd say it does about 90% of a CF/DG hit), my proc on CF was hitting for 286 unbuffed, and tests have shown there is a direct correlation between style procs and WS, meaning with 155 more STR we could easily break 300 and possibly 350 (especially considering i've only got 80 str in template). Unbuffed I broke 700 easily between crits/CF/snakecharmer. The endo useage on CF isn't as prohibitive as the opener (GR instead of AS) uses less endo, at 22% endo per CHAIN plus a ~15% chance to proc snakecharmer, and tireless i'd say you could hit 5 of these pretty easily.
Consequently, with buffs my CF is hitting 395 and BB is hitting 367 (thats at 370 STR).
